You may have more time on your hands, and nowhere to go. But don’t fret over what you CAN’T do anymore. Instead, appreciate what you CAN do.
This is a perfect opportunity to divorce yourself from the fast pace of life that you never could escape before you were forced into isolation.
Turn off the news, the TV, and the radio. You don’t need to know what’s happening in the world outside – except maybe once a day, for a few minutes.
Put your phone away. Turn off the flood of input – which is coming even faster now that everyone is bored at home.
Cultivate a beautiful inner world. Find your personal peace and fulfilment. Do that which makes you feel happy. Whether that’s losing yourself in a book, rediscovering the joys of colouring in, cooking or baking, playing boardgames, walking outside (within the confines of what’s allowed), or just being still and silent.
Don’t rely on anyone or anything else outside. Just do what will lift your spirits, and help you to feel calm and happy inside.
Build your own safe space – an inner shelter from the storms raging out in the world. It will give you a priceless balance that’s needed now more than ever.
Look after yourself.

I’m definitely team ‘do anything to lift your spirit and that of others’ right now. That is what is needed in the world during this difficult time.
